With January's ice, cold and snow making itself felt over the country, we thought we would highlight a rifle that embodies January's stark beauty, our Electroless Nickel finish .308 Hunter with Pepper laminated hardwood stock & forend set.

This is just one of the many new rifles we've introduced. With its e-nickel receivers, Hogue Beavertail Overmolded pistol grip and 8.5lb light weight, it has been very well received not only for its accuracy, durability and value, but also its striking good looks!

See details in our Featured Rifle section below.

For those in the firearms industry who will be attending SHOT Show, please be sure to stop by

the Windham Weaponry Booth #10376.

We would love to shake hands, talk shop and show you all our new offerings.

Happy New Year!

Installing the Mission First Tactical's

2-piece Railed Handguard Set

First, make sure the rifle is unloaded, and then push out the takedown pin and the pivot pin and remove the upper from the lower receiver.

While pulling back on the delta ring tap the seam where the handguards come together on the edge of a table. When the handguards separate remove them from the upper. This may require two hands. If it is too difficult to remove, have another person separate the handguards while you hold the delta ring back.

The largest half of the MFT handguard goes on top. Note the orientation and where the groove in the back of the handguards will fit on the teeth of the barrel nut.

Put the front portion of the top handguard under the handguard cap, pull back the delta ring enough for the back of the handguard to rest under the delta ring. Then put the front portion of the lower handguard under the handguard cap and also pull the delta ring back far enough for it to rest on top of the handguard.

Now squeeze the two halves together until they snap all the way under the delta ring. If they are too difficult to seat all the way by squeezing them together use a plastic or wooden mallet to tap them into place.

CUSTOMER SERVICE CORNER         Cheryl E
Cheryl Eliason, Customer Service Manager

We receive a variety of customer service related questions from our customers, and in order to better serve all of you, highlight one question each month.

This month's question is:

I am interested in your new 7.62x39 rifle, R16M4FTT-762.  Will standard AK magazines fit this rifle?

Answer:

No, AK magazines do not work in our 7.62x39 rifle.

The magazine needs to be an AR style magazine to be able to be retained properly in the lower receiver.  The magazines we are currently shipping with our 7.62x39 rifles (shown at right) are stainless steel and designed for that cartridge.

Magazines designed to be used in an AR15 in the 7.62x39 caliber should work.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

Greetings,

I just left this review on Google and I thought you might be able to use it.

I've owned the Windham Weaponery "CDI" for about a year and I have to say that it's as tight as the day I bought it. The Diamondhead sights are spot on and the only adjustment is making sure the Picatinny rail is lined up from the upper to the hand guard (I strip the entire weapon after each use). At 100 meters the guns makes you look like a real pro. I've not had the chance to reach out beyond 100 meters, but given the opportunity I would bet money on the ""CDIs"" ability to accurately go much further. As far as the warrantee goes...I'm impressed. The dust cover started having a tough time of staying closed when not in use. I sent it to Maine and they replaced the entire upper as opposed to trying to bend probe, whittle or otherwise rig it to stay closed. I'm also very impressed with what I hold to be top priority; Customer Service. Every email or phone message was followed up very quickly and the level of courtesy equally impressed me. Among other thing anyone you talk to knows the business without trying to give it to me..... 10 out of 10

Merry Christmas,

Tod

Obviously, I love the look of the new 300.  I guess that means my HBC passes inspection, eh?

You can see most things I've added, but its the Brownell's rapid fire control group by Geisele that makes it bark - and bite!

Thank you for the newsletter (I have a mail file just for them) and for the weapons coming out of your shop.
