Welcome to The Windham Weaponry Newsletter – Vol. 3 / Issue 3
Mark Eliason, VP Sales & Marketing
Our Featured Rifle is the next in our new VEX Wood Stocked series.
The Nutmeg laminated wood stock and forend are enhanced by the beautiful Coyote Brown anodizing on the upper and lower receivers. This new series of Varmint Exterminator rifles is designed for those who want to get away from the traditional black AR-type rifle. While we’ve radically enhanced its appearance, the Nutmeg incorporates all of the accuracy of our 20″ fluted, matte finished, stainless steel barrel and matched bolt. With its 5-round magazine, this rifle is ready to add your favorite scope or optic and go out after the pesky woodchuck that’s made Winter hang around so long!
Don’t forget to take advantage of our Tax Time Sale – running until April 15th.
This program allows you to choose from almost any of the accessories or configurations we offer to build your dream rifle -directly from the Factory to your FFL dealer. We receive a variety of customer service related questions from our customers, and in order to better serve all of you, highlight one question each month.
This month’s question is:
What does the warranty on my Windham Weaponry rifle cover ?
Our Windham Weaponry Transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship which affects operation of your rifle.
If you are having any trouble with your rifle or specific questions please give us a call. We may be able to trouble shoot it over the phone for you and if the rifle needs to come back for service we will make arrangements to get it back here for evaluation. When I first decided to invest in an AR-platform firearm, the search was on for a quality firearm without breaking my budget. I looked at and handled a number of firearms, but the SRC was my final choice. It is coming into its own with me and has begun to develop its own personality. Your customer service is excellent and I was impressed by the well-illustrated owner’s manual. I have been planning on purchasing another WW in .223/5.56×45 and in .308/7.62×51 as soon as I can free up available funds. I am intrigued by your new “wood furniture” versions. I am an old-school shooter and wood furniture will always have a warm place in my heart.
1967 marked the first year that I was “introduced” to the M16 while having to give up a beloved M14 at the time. Sadly, I was not impressed with the M16. Thankfully, times have changed and it took quite a long time for me to succumb to the desire to own an “AR”. When I had a chance to handle the WW SRC at my local gun shop, and while there was many others priced both above and below the SRC, it was the one that came home with me.
The SRC (now known as Caleb) allowed me to experiment with sighting systems and I finally came up with a combination that works for me; the UTG rear sight w/flip front sight and the UTG CQB red/green dot sight that allows me to co-witness both front and rear sights. Additionally, a Barska 3x9x42 Gen2 Sniper tactical scope and a Redfield 3x9x42 Combat Zone scope is ready to attach at a moment’s notice. The accessories may not be high-priced but they work for me.
The last range session resulted in this 1.5″ group with the red/green dot sight and the standard trigger. Hopefully, I can tighten that group a tad with some minor trigger work. Not bad for an almost 65-year old guy.
I enjoy the newsletter and I am in the process of smoothing out the trigger on my SRC based on the article in January’s newsletter. My first AR-based firearm was from Windham Weaponry and I see no reason to change that for future purchases. You have done well, grasshoppers!
Hi, I just rolled into town grinning after taking my first hog with my Windham AR! Just thought I’d share my pic and how much I’m enjoying your product down here in Texas!

Our armorer’s class this month was at capacity! With 24 students in attendance it was the largest class we have had at the facility. It was a huge success with students from Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and New Hampshire. I have included some photos taken during the class.
Our next class will be here at the factory June 10th/11th. For information on the next class, you can contact me or keep an eye on the website at www.windhamweaponry.com/le
