TOPIC:
How to install the Osprey Carbine Gas Piston Kit

- Verify your weapon is safe
- Remove Bolt Carrier Group
- Remove Firing Pin Retaining Pin
- Remove Bolt Cam Pin
- Remove Bolt
- Carefully remove the 3 gas rings. They are not needed
- Install existing Bolt into the New Bolt Carrier
- Align Bolt and install Bolt Cam Pin
- Insert Firing Pin and Firing Pin Retaining Pin
- Remove existing handguards. You will not need them
- Using a 1/16″ punch, remove the Gas Tube Spring Pin. You will not need it
- Remove Gas Tube from Front Sight and Upper Receiver
- Install Bushing into Upper Receiver using a military style cleaning rod
- Install Piston Chamber into the Gas Port of Front Sight
- Using a 1/16″ punch, verify the holes are aligned
- Install the solid Pin included with the kit into the Front Sight
- DO NOT USE OLD GAS TUBE SPRING PIN
- Make sure it is flush with the Front Sight
- Take note of orientation of the Operation Rod flat part, it needs to be facing up
- Install Operation Rod into Upper Receiver
- Insert Piston into Piston Chamber
- With flat part facing up, assembly both parts together
- Install Operation Rod Clip into hole
- Use a flat head screwdriver to secure the rod clip around the Operation Rod
- Make sure the assembly moves freely
- Install new handguards. DO NOT USE OLD ONES. They are different
- Verify you can see the Operation Rod inside the Upper Receiver
- Install Bolt Carrier Group
- You are done!

What’s New in LE?
July brought with it warmer temperatures and new budgets for police departments around the country. Meet the WINDHAM WEAPONRY TEAM
Mary Howard,  Purchasing
Mary works with the purchasing team at Windham Weaponry.
She has been in the firearms industry since 2004, when she started in the Bushmaster Production Department. From there she moved to Quality Control for a year, then onto the Outsourcing Department, moving product through finish, and was in this position until the closing in May 2011. She joined the new Windham Weaponry company in December 2012, returning to the Outsourcing Department.
Mary lives Windham with her family, husband Scott, three boys, Brett, Derek and Lucas, and their dog “Boston”. They are very big fans of Boston sports, enjoy taking the kids to Portland Sea Dogs games and watching the boys play sports in Windham school system. She is very active in helping out with local fundraising activities to support the schools and sports in Windham, and loves spending time with family and friends, cooking and photography.
