TOPIC:
Installation of an ambidextrous safety
For those wishing to install an ambidextrous safety selector, here are instructions on how to properly do so. This is the POF Ambi Safety that we sell in our catalog but most selectors install the same way. If you have a different type follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
First – Make sure the weapon is unloaded!
Remove upper from lower by pushing out the takedown and pivot pins. With a 3/16″ Allen wrench, remove pistol grip screw that is up inside the pistol grip.
When removing the pistol grip be careful not to lose the safety detent which is in the small hole in the receiver under the safety. Also be careful not to lose the safety detent spring which is in a hole in the pistol grip and puts tension on the detent.
With the hammer cocked push the stock safety out of the receiver. Remove the screw from the ambi safety’s right side lever and insert new safety into the receiver. It is good to put a drop of blue 242 loctite on the screw that holds the ambi safety lever on.
With the safety detent spring in the pistol grip, line the spring up with the detent hole and push the pistol grip back on. Tighten the pistol grip screw back into the grip and receiver until snug.

We got a nice letter and target group photo from one of our Veterans this month:
Attached is a photo indicating just how accurate your R16SFST – 308 rifle barrel is.
Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,

We also got a nice letter from someone who stopped by our shop for a repair:
Hi there,
I just wanted to send a thank you to you folks for the quick repair of my Vex 223 last week. I drove up, expecting to drop the gun off for repair. Instead, Eric took it right into the shop, did the repair, and handed it back to me within an hour. Needless to say, I was pretty impressed!! Everyone I came into contact with was helpful, courteous and willing to go out of their way to take care of things. You folks are a class act, and I’ve spread the word back home.
Merry Christmas to you all.

WHAT’S NEW IN LAW ENFORCEMENT
I know we all say it all the time but where has the time gone! December already and the snow is flying here in Maine.
January will be here before we know it and you all know what that means…. Yep.. SHOT Show.
I’ll be attending SHOT Show again this year so PLEASE swing by our booth #10376 and check out the NEW products and be sure to say hello.
I’m very proud to say that we just held our largest Armorers class here at the factory as we had 30 students attending from all over the country. The class was a huge success so we have decided to hold another class here at the factory in March and the link below will provide you with all the info you would need if you decide to attend.
We have been running an additional $100 discount on ALL individual officer deals for the month of November and have decided to continue this until the first of January so please reach out to Cindy and I for some GREAT discounted prices.
I attended SWAT Round up in Orlando in November and would like to thank all the officers that stopped by to check out the Windham line of rifles as well as shout out to those that stopped by to just tell me how much they loved their WW rifles.
If you need pricing or have questions on any class we are having, please contact Cindy Thompson or myself, Todd J. Coons, at the email below.
